Wisden Leading Cricketer of the World 2009
In April 2009, Sehwag became the only Indian to be honored as the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World for his performance in 2008. He holds the distinction to have scored over 300 twice in test cricket.
Arjuna Award
In 2002, Virender Sehwag got the prestigious Arjuna award for his outstanding performance in cricket. This award consisted of a cash prize, a bronze statuette of Arjuna and a scroll.
